Dr. Piya Gandhi is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist and creator of the Function First Model. Her work bridges the gap between traditional pediatric dentistry and functional airway care. Through her practice and educational programs, she guides providers to recognize how tethered oral tissues impact feeding, speech, growth, and airway development. She serves as a board member of the Airway Revolution and an affiliate of The Breathe Institute, continuing to advance pediatric airway health worldwide.
Early airway intervention is becoming one of the most important developments in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Many airway-related conditions begin during early childhood and can influence facial development, breathing patterns, sleep quality, and long-term health. This course will explore how clinicians can identify airway concerns early and intervene through appropriate expansion therapy and treatment protocols. Through practical instruction and clinical insight, participants will gain the tools needed to screen young patients, identify expansion needs, and implement effective treatment strategies within their practice.
